What type of bookkeeping do you do?
We provide remote bookkeeping services using QuickBooks Online or remotely accessing your QuickBooks desktop software through your company network. Although we cater to small and start up businesses of 15 employees or less throughout North Texas, our virtual capabilities allow us to service small businesses nationwide.
Do you work on income taxes?
We do not do any income tax work. We strictly work on payroll and Texas sales tax filings. Income tax guidelines change from year to year and require a specialized professional to stay on top of the ever-changing laws. Just as you would not go to your dental hygienist for a root canal, we strongly recommend people defer to a trained tax professional for their income taxes.
Do you do any on site work?
Our business model is based on virtual bookkeeping so that we may offer great quality services at affordable prices. However, when the need calls for it, we do provide on site services. However, the hourly rates for these services are higher than our standard pricing.
What versions of QuickBooks do you use?
Although we are thoroughly familiar with Desktop, Online, and Mac versions of QuickBooks, we work on the cloud-based QuickBooks Online (QBO) by far with the greatest frequency. We find that this particular platform gives us the most feature flexibility as well as the best sharing capabilities to both lend technical support to our clients and work hand in hand with their accountants and staff members.
Do you provide estimates up front?
When we meet new clients, they are usually in need of some clean up and catch up work, so there is no way of predicting how time-intensive it might be, and the size of the business is not always relative to how "messy" theJ books are. We simply can't know how long it will take until we're in the process. However, we recommend the client give us a budget limit per month so that we can gauge how to space the workload. Once they are caught up and clean we can have a better idea of what the maintenance would entail in order to provide a monthly maintenance cost estimate.
Do you charge by the hour or do you offer a flat rate?
With new clients we charge by the hour on initial or one-time projects. However, if the client is going to be a maintenance account, our goal is to reach a flat rate agreement as quickly as possible as this provides budget predictability for the client.
Do you offer any specials or discounts?
Yes, we offer a 10% discount for First Responders and Military personnel (both active and retired) as well as Non-Profit Organizations.
We also offer a 25% discount on the first monthly maintenance billing for one-time project clients that choose to have us maintain their bookkeeping on an ongoing monthly basis.
